Keeping a Conversation Going with a Girl You Like

One of the most awkward things ever can be having awkward pauses in conversation with the girl you like. There are actually quite a few things you can do to avoid this, such as having a plan as to what you are going to talk about. Come up with some topics in your head and see what happens. Make sure that these topics will be of interest to both of you, so there is no absolutely no chance that the conversation will stop dead in its tracks.

Sometimes telling jokes can be a great way to keep things going, that is if you know any. Just make sure if you do tell any they aren’t cheesy and will actually make her laugh. Otherwise you are probably just wasting your time. There are a lot of different things you can talk about though, including her. Most girls like to get compliments so don’t be afraid to comment on the necklace she is wearing or something else about her that you like.

Also don’t be afraid to talk about common interests if you know that you and her share anything like favorite movies or hobbies. Try seeing if she has a profile online on a social networking site, so you will be able to learn more about her so you can have nice conversation pieces to keep things going.

The more you know about her in advance the better your chances will be of keeping the conversation going no matter what. There is nothing worse than the feeling of not knowing what else to talk about and going through that endless silence, so be sure to come up with things to talk about beforehand. If nothing else you might just want to ask her out on a date so you will definitely have something to talk about then.

How to Always Keep Your Conversations Going

How to Never Run Out of Things to Say to a Girl

If you aren’t someone who is socially-inclined, keeping a conversation going can be hard work. But with the right advice you will be able to talk to any girl that you like without problem. The trick is to make sure that you remember the necessary key factors that go into making any conversation worthwhile and last.

Always Fill the Gap

When you start a conversation with a girl you like, your main goal will be to make sure that the conversation gap is filled at all times. This means no long pauses or awkward silences that will eventually lead to the end of the conversation itself. Even if you have to start making small talk, go for it. One of the most important things is to always keep it going no matter what.

Talk About Her

Guys who really know how to talk to girls and hold long conversations have realized that a very crucial part of doing this is talking about them; whether it is their outfit or interests, let them know you are interested. This will no doubt extend the conversation a little bit longer and she will probably ask about your hobbies or interests as well.

Find the Common Tie

If you share something in common like the same school or place of work, then you will have something to fill that awkward gap in conversation. Ask her what classes she is taking or something else relating to school/work. The more interest you show in her, the better your chances are that the conversation will last longer and she will like you a lot more just for being interested enough to ask.

You might be surprised how many guys make the all too common mistake of talking about themselves the entire time. There is nothing that girls hate worse, so you will want to steer clear of that whatever you do.

Keeping a Conversation Going with Your Girlfriend

Knowing how to keep a conversation going with your girlfriend is definitely something you will want to learn how to do. Inevitably there are those awkward silence pauses in the conversation where nobody is saying anything, so you will want to try your best to come up with some conversation pieces.

If you are just starting to date the girl, then you will be able to ask her questions about herself. Make an effort to find out what some of her interests are so you will have something to talk about. Girls love it when you ask them to talk about themselves, so don’t be afraid to do that. Ask about their hobbies, likes, dislikes, favorite movies, etc.

When you start to make a real effort to talk with your girlfriend, she will know that you care. If you encounter a situation where you run out of things to talk about, just think about something that and go for it. Almost anything is better than sitting through that deafening silence that can get really awkward and unbearable at times.

Once you start asking her things about herself, she will probably start doing the same. Then you will have a good conversation going back and forth. The more you learn about each other the longer your relationship will last. Don’t be afraid to ask simple or silly questions like what is your favorite color or if you could be any animal what would you be. It will fill in the conversation gaps and you will gain a little bit more insight into what kind of a person she really is.

Make it a point to think about things to talk about before you go out, so you won’t be put on the spot when it comes to making conversation. Remember, you don’t want it to feel forced so just go with the flow and let it come naturally.

First Date Conversation Tips

First Date Conversation

First dates can be a little bit intimidating, which is why you will need to have some different ways to keep the conversation going between the two of you. Making small talk will only get you so far, which is why it’s always a good idea to have some conversation pieces ready and waiting for when things start to get awkward.

If you know the girl from school or work, then you can certainly use those things as a back up for when you can’t think of anything else. Try to ask her about her interests and what she likes, because it will show her that you want to get to know her better. This almost always works when it comes to starting a conversation, especially if she likes to talk about herself a lot.

You can also talk about whatever you happen to be doing, whether you are going out to eat or seeing a movie. Use the situation to your advantage and you should be okay with regards to keeping the conversation going. If things start to get a little quiet, you don’t have to jump in with something right away.

Sometimes just looking into each other’s eyes and having an intimate moment of silence is enough. Eventually though you will want to pick it up and start talking again, because it will be really awkward and awful date all around if neither one of you says anything a majority of the time. Often times when she says something, that will give you an idea as to something else you can talk about.

It might remind you of something that happened. Telling stories about yourself will give her an idea of just who you are and it will fill the empty gap in the conversation that happens from time to time.  First date conversation can be intimidating, but if you keep these tips in mind, you’ll do just fine.
